President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to return to Nigeria today, Monday, April 21, 2025, following a two-week work visit to France and the United Kingdom. The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the return in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Tinubu had traveled to Paris, France, before proceeding to London over the weekend. His return was scheduled to follow the Easter holiday, with plans to resume official duties at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
During the President’s absence, Nigeria has witnessed a surge in violent attacks, particularly in communities across Benue and Plateau states, resulting in the tragic loss of over 50 lives. The President’s return is highly anticipated as Nigerians look to his administration for renewed focus on security and stability in the affected regions.
The Presidency has not yet outlined the immediate agenda for President Tinubu upon his return, but observers expect that addressing the security challenges will be a top priority.
