Senator Orji Kalu Reveals President Tinubu’s Displeasure Over Situation in Abia State

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, former governor of Abia State and current senator representing Abia North, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu is unhappy with the prevailing situation in Abia State. Speaking on April 19, 2025, Kalu revealed that during his recent meeting with the President, Tinubu expressed disappointment over the disunity and challenges facing the state’s political landscape.

Kalu emphasized that the President’s concern centers on the lack of unity among party leaders in Abia, which he believes hampers progress and development. The senator reiterated calls for greater cohesion within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia to ensure the party’s success and the state’s advancement.

This revelation aligns with earlier reports that President Tinubu has been vocal about the need for unity among APC leaders in the South East, particularly in Abia State, as part of his broader political agenda.

Senator Kalu, known for his influential role in Abia politics, also highlighted his ongoing private engagements with Governor Alex Otti and the President, focusing on governance improvements and strategic advice for the state’s development.

The senator’s comments come amid heightened political activity in Abia ahead of the 2027 elections, underscoring the critical need for collaboration among political stakeholders to address the state’s challenges and harness its potentials.
